Mission

We fund extraordinary learning opportunities for every student. Every day.

Our Promise

When you give to CEF, you directly invest in opportunity, growth and a strong future for our community.

The Camas Educational Foundation funds extraordinary learning opportunities for every student in the Camas School District. Our organization funds extra educational programs in the schools to enhance the excellence of our schools and impact the lives of each student, from Kindergarten through 12th Grade.

The programs funded by Camas Educational Foundation are multilateral, some support a specific project in a specific school, while other projects fund multiple schools. In each project, Camas Educational Foundation looks at the grant awards to impact maximum students while also becoming replicable models in education. This in turn builds life-long learners and stronger communities for our childrens’ futures. Support of the Camas Educational Foundation directly impacts the lives of more than 7,200 students attending our schools today and thousands of children who will grow up in our community and our schools.

The Camas Educational Foundation (CEF) was started in 1998 to support the Camas School District. Parents came together out of a shared desire to make this school district one of the best educational institutions in our state. As we all know, to make a public school district shine, it takes additional dedication and support from its community. We are fortunate to have some of the best possible educators who genuinely care about the educational lives of their students. CEF is in the very fortunate position to endow these teachers with additional tools and support necessary to reach their students. And now in its eighteenth year, CEF has helped integral projects including: high school robotics, elementary coding and robotics, visual thinking strategies. CEF also reaches into individual schools offering smaller grants to do a whole host of things including: building better libraries, creating community gardens, enhancing PE programs, developing creative arts programs, funding curriculum expansion, and awarding individual grants to students studying topics outside the curriculum.

We are venture capitalists for education.
