David Volke Secretary I secretary@cefcamas.org

Their oldest is going to school at Liberty and their youngest is attending Helen Baller. David enjoys taking them to school each morning and seeing them grow in our community. One of the many things he is thankful for are the rock star teachers who have educated his daughters for many years. David is so very grateful for each of them!

Camas Educational Foundation is important to David because: ‘Joining CEF was important to me because it gave me an opportunity to serve my community and my fellow educators. I have been blessed to receive grants from the CEF and I wanted to serve to better support other educators to do the same. I see this work as building opportunities for our young people to grow and thrive in all of our schools. I truly believe that our educators are amazing and I want to give back to them and help reward the hard work they do to see and serve each and every student that walks through their doors.’

Camas Educational Foundation is important to Gail because: ‘I had the great privilege to join the CEF auction team in the early years and supported many  wonderful events in many volunteer positions. I also had the privilege to chair a couple of the auctions which was wonderful to work with so many dedicated and special community volunteers that it takes to put this event together. I have served on the Board of Directors in different capacities in two previous terms and am excited to currently serve a third term. I hope you get a sense that I hold this organization near and dear to my heart. Kevin Paskowski Board Member

Occupational or Professional Background: I am currently working as an emergency veterinarian doing relief work at various ERs in the Portland/Vancouver area after having worked as a full time ER veterinarian for 17 years in Vancouver, WA.  Over the years, I have volunteered in my children's schools and Camas School District including having served on the CSD Citizens Advisory Committee from 2021-2024, acting as co-chair of the committee for 2 years, and currently serving on the Instructional Materials Committee.

Schools children attend or have attended in the Camas School District: My wife and I have two daughters that have been part of Camas Schools since preschool.  Currently, one is at Liberty Middle School, and the other is at LaCamas Lake Elementary.  Both girls are active in their school's ASB/Leadership with my oldest also serving on the Student Advisory Committee for the district.

Camas Educational Foundation is important to you because: As a parent, one of my greatest joys has been seeing my children learn and grow as they progress through life towards becoming adults.  This is especially apparent when I see their excitement when they are exposed to new and unique educational opportunities which directly ties into the mission of the CEF.  Since I feel that it is important for me to find ways to be part of my children's education by volunteering in their schools and the district as a whole, the CEF was a natural extension of that feeling and a way I could help deliver unique educational opportunities to all students.

Chris Dye Board Member

Schools children attended: Chris has one daughter who as only ever known Camas schools.  She's attended Camas schools since pre-school and has always loved being an active member of her school community.

CEF is important to me:

My daughter's participation and leadership in giving back to her school is inspiring and reminds me of why these schools and the support of the community are so vitally important to building the type of educational foundation that will improve the world around us.  That's inspired me to try and volunteer and give back as well knowing the type of impact we can have with each and every kid and community member in Camas.
